When discussing about massage chair recliners, I intend to cover the topic from every angle. So, naturally, you can expect to see some of the best offerings from top rated brands. The more expensive massage chairs can include all the features you could think of and more. Full body and shiatsu massage, zero gravity, massage chair recliners with heat and power lift are amongst some of the features you can expect to see.
Zero Gravity Chairs for a Full Body Massage
Although the most expensive massage chairs can be considered to be the best, there are cheaper, more affordable options for those who don’t have a huge budget. I suppose there’s no such thing as a cheap massage chair recliner, these are luxury items. But there are some that offer outstanding value for money. So some of the recliners in this review may be the very best that money can buy, others can be seen as chairs that provide value for money. Without being the very cheapest, these are, none the less, inexpensive with a good level of quality. That’s important, getting value for the money you’re spending. So, sit back, put your feet up and indulge yourself in a good massage recliners available to you. It’s an investment in your comfort and well-being.
1. Real Relax Massage Chair Recliner Zero Gravity
I’m sure many of you will find the price tag attached to the Kahuna LM6800 to be exorbitant, to say the least. This moves us onto the Real Relax Massage chair recliner. It’s not their top of the range massage recliner and this makes the price very reasonable. Despite being one of the cheaper models, this is quite a refined product with a bunch of useful features and technology to rival some of the best.
Using 8 massage rollers and 50 air bags, the Real Relax is able to provide a full body massage from your shoulders to your legs. A waist heater adds to the therapeutic advantages and it has four preset programs. These provide a sleep mode, mild, relaxation and strong mode. Using the remote control, you can customize the level of massage therapy or relaxation to suit you. This includes a 30-minute timer.
Many of the features I’ve mentioned are only found on more expensive massage chair recliners and there are a few more to add to the list. It has zero gravity positioning and a foot roller, making it a very good option for the money that you’re paying. There are two wheels at the back. So you can tilt this heavy (almost 200-pound) chair and move it when needed, without breaking your back. The chair has an incredible weigh capacity of 440-pounds and I’ve heard of people up to 6’5” finding it really comfortable.
For a quality piece of furniture, with some pretty advanced massage functions, the Real Relax Full Body massage recliner is very affordable. At this price, one may be concerned about quality, though this really seems not to be a problem. Some customers have reported faulty parts on delivery, but the manufacturers have sorted this out very quickly. So I’d say that you can rely on the 3-year warranty offered on this product as being one of the best. The bottom line: this massage chair is excellent value for money and not far behind the expensive units when it comes to features and technology.
2. NEW FOREVER REST BACK SAVER - Zero Gravity Chair
This is certainly deserving of the Premier part of its name. Of the recliners in this review, the New Forever Rest FR-5Ks is one of the more expensive options. It’s roughly in the same price range as the Kahuna LM6800, featured at the top of the review. Whilst both these massage chair recliners are not particularly cheap, neither are close to being the most expensive options available to you. The general consensus amongst existing customers is that this chair is excellent for its price. I can easily see why they feel this way.
It has all the great features of a high-end massage chair recliner. Amongst the 7 massage options are a Yoga stretch, Shiatsu, tapping, vibration and a tapping knocking combination, which appears to be a big favorite. Naturally, it comes with a remote control and this has four automatic programs.
The foot rollers are quite unique, in that they offer one of the best foot and calve massages, another much-loved feature. In terms of technology and quality, this massage chair can compare to any of the best and the company seems to be very helpful when dealing customer queries, repairs, or replacement. One thing I should mention is that tall people have not been a big fan of this model. Up to about a 6-foot and 2-inches, you should be fine. If you’re taller than this, the manufacturers recommend their bigger options (the 6K or 7K). Other than this, it has been met with great enthusiasm.
The New Forever Rest is certainly stylish and incredibly well-made. They’ve advertised a full 5-year Black Friday (2018) warranty on Amazon. Though it seems that the standard warranty isn’t much different. This being 5-years for the frame and steel components and 3-years for the electronics. They also offer a 10-day return policy. But read the fine print, it appears as though the return comes at a cost of 20% of the price.
3. RELAXONCHAIR Full Body Zero Gravity Shiatsu Massage Chair
The RealxOnChair MK-II is another one of the products on the higher end of the scale. Like the New Forever and Kahuna massage chair recliners in this review, you can look at this one as a more affordable option at the high-end of the market. Features, styling, and build quality are on a par with the other two. It’s a great massage chair at a great price.
It has all the stuff expected on a massage chair recliner in this class. So we’re talking about 3 zero gravity positions at the touch of a button on the handy remote. There are 4 automatic settings and the option for control of the three basic massage options – kneading, tapping or combo. It has three intensity settings for the air bags and three speed settings. Maybe it’s true what they say: good things always come in threes.
There two heating pads for the lower back and, of course, an excellent foot roller. The remote is really cool and provides a visual (on screen) representation of what your settings will do. You get a picture of the type of massage and the areas targeted. The L-track design is the favored type among the top rated massage chairs, putting this one in a class with the very best.
I don’t think it would be an easy task choosing between the three massage chair recliners that appear in this review in this price range. They are all great, with slightly varying features. But, when compared side by side, they all have their advantages and are about the best in this class. It may come down to a simple choice of the preferred styling or color.
4. Infinity IT-8500 X 3 3D Massage Chair
We’re ending this review with the crème de la crème of massage chair recliners. Compared to the others in this review, the Infinity IT-8500 3D is really expensive. Though in the realm of top class massage recliners, it is not amongst the most expensive options, you could end paying much more without any real benefit. If you’re looking a product in this class, the Infinity IT-8500 offers a lot for the money you’re spending.
One can immediately see that this is a superb product and is obviously in a different class to any of the cheaper massage chair recliners. Styling, quality, and craftsmanship are of the highest order. Along with the high-class appearance, comes extraordinary technology. The S-shape is designed to follow the natural curve of your spine, offering unrivaled comfort and support. There are all sorts of clever sensors that act together with advanced air cells to target every area of your body with the correct pressure and intensity. The rollers automatically adapt to your needs and body shape. This is dubbed as 3D technology and it will sense, for instance, exactly where your neck is positioned and target that area with any of 5 intensity settings. It’s as close as you’ll get to the human touch, as it will detect where the knots and stresses lie and work on these areas with precisely the right treatment.
All the normal massage treatments act in this advanced way. Whether it’s Shiatsu or Yoga stretching, the Infinity IT-8500 does with an intuition that goes way beyond the norm. Lumbar heating is a given and even the foot 6 roller foot massage exceeds what we would normally expect. The chair has advanced Accu-Roll for your shoulders and deep massage to promote healthy digestion and improve your blood circulation. It also has Android and IOS compatible Blue Tooth, allowing to listen music. The remote control is one of the best, providing you with a huge variety of automatic and customizable settings, along with a detailed LCD display.
As hard as I’ve searched, I can’t find a customer complaint about the Infinity IT-8500. I suppose at this price, it is going to be close to perfection. While this Infinity model may not be within everyone’s budget, it is without a doubt one the very best massage chair recliners in the world.
5. Kahuna Massage Chair Zero-Gravity Full-Body Recliner
There are those fortunate few who always travel business class and the reason has a lot to do with the exceptionally comfortable seats, designed to take the stress out of a long flight. We all know how expensive this luxury can be. Though in your living room, you’re going to be using your massage chair recliner over and over again. So you may as well spend those extra dollars if this is your style.
Yes, the Kahuna Zero Gravity Full Body Recliner (LM6800) is more expensive than many. On the other hand, they have models that cost upwards of five grand. In that respect, this model is actually cheap.
This is certainly one of the best brands in the business, top technology and outstanding features are a given. If you truly want to spoil yourself every day of your life, this recliner is going to do that for you.
These guys have taken the concept of full body shiatsu massage to a new level and added a whole lot of technology to make this an exceptional, easy to use, massage recliner. Using four rollers and advanced air cell massage technology, this recliner is quieter and provides a deep massage across the entire body. The L-track frame, with 3 true zero gravity stages allows you to drift away whilst massaging your shoulders, waist, hips, and arms. It does all this whilst providing maximum support from your neck to below the waist.
You have ultimate control at the touch of button. The Kahuna LM6800 has 6 programs with automatic functions and 5 manual massage techniques. Some of the individual massage choices include a special Yoga stretching program, their unique SH-Chiro therapy and the ever-popular shiatsu massage. The computer scans your body to provide the best results for your body type. It also offers heat therapy for the lower back and legs.
The features and advanced technology seem to be endless and it’s specifically designed for space saving. It can move from a normal sitting position to zero gravity without needing a huge area. The Kahuna LM6800 can stand only 3-inches from the wall and won’t obstruct the ergonomics of your room. It also looks stunning, so your aesthetics will be enhanced. It’s one of the best massage chair recliners for tall people, rated for 250 pounds and up to 6’2”. There are even people taller than this who have said that this chair is perfect. Though I’ve seen that a few shorter people (around 5-feet) have found it difficult to find the perfect massage position. As one would expect from one of the most advanced massage chairs, you get a remote which includes a 30-minute timer and control over all the functions.
If I’m going to spend this amount of money on a luxury recliner, I want to know that I’m getting what I pay for. So what are the customer complaints regarding the Kahuna LM6800? As always, I’ve searched to find any issues that customers have raised. Apart from the fact that some short folks haven’t found it to be the best, as I mentioned, there is little to find in the customer complaints department. Yes, there are those who had their item delivered and it was damaged. This happens with every product I’ve ever reviewed. You can’t really blame the manufacturer for that. The good news is that the guys at Kahuna are incredibly helpful and will replace or repair a damaged unit quickly.
There’s a sense of ease when buying from a brand with a top notch reputation and you usually have to pay for this. In my opinion, if you have the cash to spare, it’s worth paying extra for the Kahuna LM6800. It has the quality (and brand reputation) to rival the very best and features that are arguably the best you’ll find in this price range. Unless of course, you spend top dollar on the 3D Kahuna Exquisite which is more than twice the price of this, already expensive, massage chair recliner.
6. Full Body Zero Gravity Shiatsu Massage Chair Recliner
High end features plus a few extras at a very reasonable price. This is my immediate observations when looking at the Full body Zero Gravity Shiatsu Massage Recliner chair. You’re getting just about everything you could possibly want, without it costing you an arm and a leg. It looks great and can be compared favorably to any high-end product from the top brands.
Functionality includes multiple air bags with four rollers and an L-shape frame. So you have the benefit of a true full body massage and rollers for foot massage. A really cool feature is the Blue tooth connectivity. You can play your favorite music whilst relaxing in the comfort of a great Shiatsu massage with a variety of settings, using a full function remote control.
Space saving, one button zero gravity is another plus. As is the extendible foot rest that allows people of just about any height to find the perfect position for the best full body massage. Even if you’re around 6’5”, you’re going to find it easy to get the complete benefit of a head to foot massage. The advanced technology extends to body scanning. So, like many of the massage chair recliners that cost a good deal more, this one will scan your body shape and adapt to provide the best massage.
It’s not that easy to think why one would buy a more expensive massage chair, when this one offers just about all the features that that the others do. Quality appears to be up there with the best and modern elegant styling is an added bonus.
7. Kahuna Superior Massage Chair - Zero Gravity
As the second most expensive massage chair recliner in this review, we could call this one the big Kahuna. Although there are plenty that cost a good deal more, it’s near the top of the Kahuna range, but still on the more affordable end of the price scale. With that said, this is certainly not a cheap product. Though people who own one seem to feel that it is undoubtedly worth the money.
If you’re one of those people who need more than a relaxing massage at the end of a tough day, the Kahuna SM-7300 might be just what you’re looking for. The SL Track with 6 rollers and extra air cells for the hips and calves provide advanced therapeutic massage options for athletes, sports injuries and for older people who might need that extra touch.
The remote is excellent as far as automatic functions go, there are a total of 9 automated programs, ranging from the standard Yoga and relaxation settings to special programs for various sports and recovery therapies, along with a special senior setting. Though there is one thing I find a little disappointing, and some customers have noted this, the remote doesn’t allow you to save your favorite settings. In all other the respects this remote is one of the best and very intuitive.
Along with exquisite styling, they’ve made this chair bigger and more adaptable for just about any size or weight. Rated for 320 LBs, with a seat that’s 21-inches wide, with 24-inches shoulder room and a 12-inch leg extension, it can accommodate people from around 5-feet all the way up to 6’5”. People who are little taller than this should also find it to be one of the more comfortable options. As with most of the best, it has heating pads and a number of other functions you won’t normally find, like full warp around calve massage and acupuncture points. It even has built-in LED lights. It also has the same space saving advantage as most Kahuna massage chair recliners and will move to a zero gravity position within 3-inches.
The Top Performance Kahuna SL-Track SM-7300 is no average massage chair recliner, it’s one of the very best and extremely versatile. Yes, it’s more expensive than most in this review, in fact it’s the second most expensive. Though for this type of advanced massage chair, it’s worth investing in, especially if you need more advanced therapy.
