When it comes to cleaning hard floors, you probably have two basic requirements. You want a machine that’s going to scrub away dirt, no matter how tough it is. While a tough scrubbing action can make your life a lot easier when cleaning up stubborn dirt, it can be detrimental to more sensitive surfaces. A tile floor can handle some intense scouring but wooden floors are not that forgiving. If you have hardwood floors, I’m sure you take great pride in the sophisticated look that they give your home. You want to keep your hardwood floors in pristine condition with a perfect shine. Intense scrubbing can easily leave unsightly scratch marks on your hardwood floors so it’s preferable to use a softer cleaning head for wooden floors.
It’s very likely that you want a machine that’s going to scrub and mop your tile floors and also provide an effective gentle cleaning action for your hardwood floors. There are many products that will give you this versatility and may you be left wondering which is best.
An electric hard floor mop shouldn’t cost too much though, at the same time, cheap can be nasty. So it’s often a good idea to spend a few dollars more and get the right tool for the job and something that’s going to last. The Bissell SpinWave won’t cost you an arm and a leg and will also offer you a great deal of quality and the versatility you need for every type of hard floor.
For this reason, we’ve decided to review this hard floor mop. It’s very popular, both because of its price and its functionality. Take a look at this review and decide for yourself if it’s worth buying.
Bissell SpinWave Review
Like so many Bissell products that I’ve reviewed, this is a stylish modern appliance that’s compact, lightweight, and very easy to use. It has all the features that you’d want from a quality electric mop without an exorbitant price tag.
Weighing only 9.5 LBS and measuring 8” X 16” X 45”, the Bissell SpinWave is a pleasure to operate and store. You get two sets of reusable pads that are designed to provide you with serious heavy-duty cleaning when using the “scrubby pads” or you can go for the “soft touch pads” that are ideal for gentle cleaning and are the best for sealed hardwood floors. This means any hard floor (tile, hardwood, vinyl, you name it) will be left spotlessly clean and beautifully polished, without much effort on your part.
A removable detergent tank is designed for ultimate convenience and ease of use. As is the spray on demand feature that allows you to control the amount of cleaning solution that you use at any given time.
So far all these features seem pretty run of the mill and I’d expect to find them on any similar piece of equipment. Where I find the design of the Bissel SpinWave 2039A to be better than most, is its ergonomic stick design with swivel steering. It’s really easy to maneuver the SpinWave into tight corners and under low obstacles. You’ll get into areas with the Bissell SpinWave where many others can’t.
To sum this review up, I’d say that the Bissel SpinWave 2039A is a wonderfully versatile mop that will scrub tiles with vigor and also gently polish hardwood floors to a perfect shine. Where it really comes into its own is the fact that it’s light, easy to use and will get into places where many others won’t. It certainly lives up to the Bissell reputation for affordable quality and you get a 2-year warranty with this product.
